In the world of watches, there are many brands that have certain stories or heritage that lead to the creation of their brand and product, but Whitby Watch Co. has the most interesting inspiration and heritage behind their timepieces. (The Intrepid, The Avro and The Arrow) Today, we are going to break down each piece that Whitby Watch Co. has to offer, and explain the heritage behind each piece, as well as their specs and price point.

Intrepid Diver:

The first piece is the beautiful Intrepid Dive Watch. The Intrepid is a Special Edition timepiece to honour Sir William Stephenson (The Man Called Intrepid) (also the inspiration for Ian Fleming's 007) for his efforts and at Whitby, Ontario's Camp X military facility for Spy and Espionage training during WWII. 

Camp X is a major part of Canadian history, and since it was sadly torn down, this piece is an amazing way to honour a great man for all of his hard work and dedication to ensure safety in our country. 

The Intrepid Dive Watch was designed in Canada, and manufactured in Germany. Each watch has a 44mm 316L stainless steel case, stainless steel bracelet, Uni-directional rotating bezel, AR coated sapphire crystal over the dial, and inside is the beautiful Swiss Caliber ETA 2824-2 movement with a 38 hour power reserve. These watches come in 3 colours (Black Dial/Black Bezel/White Indices, Black Dial/Red Bezel, Red Indices and Blue Dial, Blue Bezel, white Indices), are numbered, and have been limited to only 103 pieces with a pre-sale price of $700 CAD.

Arrow:

The Arrow is a timepiece to celebrate one of the greatest designs in aviation history, The Avro CF-105 Arrow. The Avro Arrow was an aircraft that was in production through the 1950's and was abruptly stopped in the late 1950's.

The Arrow is a simplistic and aesthetically pleasing watch made using high quality components, and it has an unbelievable price point. This watch comes equipped with a Seiko NH35A movement, 43mm titanium case, AR coated sapphire crystal over the dial and a beautiful leather strap. This piece is available for a limited time and has a pre-sale price of $395 CAD.

The Arrow - All Variations

Avro Pilot:

The Avro Pilot has similar aesthetics and heritage to the Arrow, but this piece comes with a waterproof carrying case, Avro Arrow commemorative coin, upgraded movement, open sapphire case back, and brings the inclusion of the Royal Canadian Airforce roundel at 12:00.

This piece has a Caliber ETA 2824-2 movement, 43mm titanium case, sapphire crystal over the dial and open case back, Royal Canadian Airforce roundel at 12:00 and a beautiful leather strap. This piece is aesthetically pleasing and elegant and would look fantastic in any collection. This piece is limited to 105 pieces and has a pre-sale price of $895 CAD.
