The 1962 Racing Chronograph comes equipped with the Seiko VK63 meca-quartz movement. What is a meca-quartz movement you ask? Meca-quartz movements are a hybrid between a mechanical movement and a battery powered movement. The main functions of the movement (second, minute and hour hands) use the quartz or battery portion to move and operate, while the mechanical portion ensures a proper running chronograph (the subdials at 3, 6 and 9). With the VK63, it mimics the smooth sweeping second hand of a mechanical or automatic watch, which gives it even more of a luxurious feel and aesthetic.

The 1962 Racing Chronograph comes equipped with a 39mm 316L stainless steel case, 3 colour options (Panda (White w/ black subdials) Evil panda (Black w/white subdials) and Blue), AR coated K1 double domed mineral crystal over the dial, 60-minute chronograph, 24-hour indicator, date window between 4:00 and 5:00 (which you can choose to have no date window if you like a clean dial), screw down case back with etched Maserati Tipo 60 Birdcage automobile, Seiko VK63 meca-quartz movement and 50m or 165ft of water resistance. With the 39mm case sizing, this watch would sit so comfortably on anyone's wrist, and the colour variations are gorgeous as well.
